PhD position in Remote Sensing and Machine Learning for Structural Analysis

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to conduct a PhD in Remote Sensing and Machine Learning for Structural Analysis. The complete project title is: Enhanced structural analysis of rock outcrops and masonry structures using photogrammetry, laser scanning and machine learning. The position is fully funded (stipend + for fees) but elligibility is limited (see link below for details).

This PhD uses new data capture methods (e.g. laser scanning and structure from motion photogrammetry) alongside numerical simulations to automate detection and quantification of damage in both rock outcrops and masonry buildings to improve our ability to predict and prevent failures.
